Shades in this hue can run warm or cool and it seems to be a great division in interior decorating.  Everyone seems to have a clear opinion about this delicious color.  For me, I am not usually drawn to red.  I generally avoid reds in all forms of interior design though I respect a decorator that can do right by red.

I find that these colors work best in a library or dining room.  A room that is tucked away because the red will dominate.  Which is great, if that's the purpose.
